In June I traveled to Peru to visit world famous Machu Picchu. I went on a Conservation Volunteers International Program trip which offers travelers the opportunity to perform important restoration work in the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. During this trip I also visited other ancient Inca ruins. These amazing monuments are examples of the stonework the ancient Inca are known for. I also visited the ancient Inca spiritual city, Cusco .
