Chaco Canyon was an important Anasazi cultural center from about 900 through 1130 AD. Chaco Canyon is very remote located in the northwest quadrant of New Mexico. The site is administered by the US Park Service. The ruins make great subject matter especially with the dramatic canyon walls serving as the backdrop.
