During my years working as a photographer with the US Forest Service there were many times I went out to photo-document large wildfires in the Northwest. There are so many amazing scenes that I had the fortune of experiencing and capturing on film and later in digital media covering these events. So here's a sampling of wildfires and the firefighting efforts that take place to suppress them.
