Big Pine Lakes is an area in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. There's actually a series of several lakes one can visit using a loop trail. I visited the first two lakes during this last trip. The first time I visited these two lakes was over 40 some years ago. Really was nice to revisit the area. An overnight stay or more would be nicer but it can be done in a day hike but it's quite a workout but well worth it!
