In the extreme southeast corner of Oregon is an area containing some seriously beautiful scenery and landscapes. It's high desert country at it's best. During the drier part of spring and summer one can travel around on gravel and dirt roads that will take you to areas where volcanic activity of long ago has left behind some very photogenic rock sculptures. Here and there one can view down into the deep canyons that the Owyhee River passes through.
